Boro Noragi - White cottons, heavy repair, superior nagagi

$0.00

Long boro work coat called a nagagi.  One of the highlights of my personal collection.

Surface of the coat is in excellent condition and is constructed from a wonderfully faded shima cotton, but it is the inside of this coat that is truly show-stopping and exemplifies a stunning unintended beauty of patchwork and repair. Both the front and reverse of the inside of the coat have an array of precious Japanese cottons - katazome, tsutstugaki fragments, even a bright red commercial cotton - buried under years of patchwork and mending.

Coats of this quality rarely come to market anymore. I am proud to be able to offer this collectible garment. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or if you would like more photos.
