This is a stunning boro furoshiki (wrapping cloth). We mostly see boro futon and work jackets - this textile is a fantastic example of the beauty of unintended art and a rather rare example of a boro textile. The geometry of patches and hues of variegated indigo cottons are beautiful. On the proper front there is an equally captivating mix of recycled hanten (perhaps nobori) overdyed indigo cottons. The only one like it in our collection.
